RULES

Stage I: Case-Analysis
- Each team can
be of maximum 3 members.
All team members must belong to the
same institute.
- The participants
are required to send only a soft copy
of their analysis to
shanmugavelm06@iimb.ernet.in with the subject John Deere Milestones Entry. The last date
for receipt of the case analysis of
Stage I is 11:59 PM, October 5, 2007 (Extended).
- Each entry should
have a cover page mentioning names of
the team members, name of the institute,
addresses, e-mail, and telephone numbers.
This cover page will be detached before
the analyses are given for panel evaluation.
- The names of the
team members or the name/logo of their
institute should not appear anywhere
in the body of the analysis.
- The analysis should
not exceed 5 pages (excluding cover
page, reference and exhibits). The exhibits including
any figures, charts or tables should
be added as appendices. The soft copies
should be submitted in Microsoft Word
document format and typed using Times
New Roman, 12 size font with single
line spacing.
- The list of teams
shortlisted for Stage II will be put
up on the website by October 8, 2007.
- For analysis, you are free to use any data outside the case with proper reference.
Stage II: Presentation during Vista
- The selected teams
will be required to present their analysis to a panel of judges during Vista - October 12-14.
The shortlisted teams would be later informed of the the exact details of the presentation (format, timing etc).
- The shortlisted team-members
will have to compulsorily register themselves
at the IIMB-VISTA Reception Desk before
9am on October 12, 2007.
Any teams that fail to register in time
will be automatically disqualified from
participating in the event.
- The teams selected
for Stages II would be reimbursed AC
III tier, two-way train travel expense.
The reimbursement will be for the shortest
route between the members' institute
and Bangalore. Team members are required
to present a copy of their tickets for
reimbursements. In case of a flight
journey, reimbursements will be made
only on producing original boarding
passes. Irrespective of mode of journey
a maximum of AC III tier fare will be
reimbursed.
- The decisions of
the organizers of the contest and the
panel of judges will be final and binding
on all the participants
