VISTA 2006 witnessed teams putting themselves in the shoes of a CIO and facing the pressures that come with the job.

Cognizant, in association with IIMB presents General’s Gambit at VISTA 2007. Today’s CEO, being faced with a compelling, seemingly contradicting set of constraints and options to deal with, has pressure from all angles to make that tough decision of which option to work with.

The participants of General’s Gambit, as CEO’s will have to prove themselves as leaders by solving a real-life business problem that pushes themselves further than ever in making that decision.

The game will be split into 2 rounds.

• The initial round will be an elimination round. Participants will be required to solve a case and submit their solution. Teams will be eliminated based on the solution

• The second stage of the game will involve evaluating the teams based on their solutions, based on their consideration of all aspects relevant to the case

Thereafter, Cognizant will take the finalists through actual solution and try to educate the participants of nuances of attacking real-life business cases. In the process, the participants will also gain insights into application of strategy in real-life scenarios.
