One of the biggest stakeholders in business is the society and this entity is seldom forgotten by the best in business. VISTA presents “SPARSH” – a first of a kind B-school event where business schools come in close contact with reputed Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and solve their real problems. A remarkably difficult set of constraints force the participants to think creatively, innovate and solve burning issues of the NGOs. A field visit to the NGO will engage the participants with the activities of the NGO and make the visit to Bangalore worth every penny. Participants have to form groups of two and solve problems of the real world.

Round 1:
An issue will be put up on the website which needs to be answered in the format specified. A team of experts will review the entries sent by the teams and issue a list of finalists.
Round 2:
This will happen during the 3 days of Vista.
Day 1:
The finalists will be randomly allocated one of the two NGOs that is partnering with Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. The Institute will arrange for a field visit to the NGOs where the participants will spend time with members of the NGO where the problem will be visually described. In addition to this, each team will individually be given 15 minutes to ask critical questions to the NGO after which they will be brought back to the Institute.
Day 2:
The final presentation will be made by the participants, where they will methodically present their recommendations on the issues raised during the NGO visits.
Judges: The event will be judged by the members of the NGOs, and by experts in the field of NGO activism.
Prize
Rs 25,000 for the winning team for each of the NGOs.
