The Hunt for the Next CEO ... The hectic pace that defines the world of business incapacitates jacks of all trades; they need to be masters instead, if they are to prove their might in the corporate jungle. Numero Uno hunts for that stellar STUDent who possesses the skills to be a future business leader... And it's not going to be easy! This tough roller coaster ride runs across all the days of Vista, and challenges the participants' ability to think on their feet , guts to perform under enormous duress, and calls into question their skills in creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, stamina, teamwork and communication. Participation is through invitations and only the best from their territories compete, ensuring high quality competition. This only means it's going to be a gruelling stress test for all the challengers. Spectators have loads to look forward to in this event, with each prospect rolling up his sleeves and revealing the ace up there! With Numero Uno, there is not an iota of doubt: only the best man CAN win.

The event will be held over all the three days of VISTA:

Day 1: First module on day-1 shall test the participants on the capability to strategize. The candidates will be put in a boardroom environment and their skills to come on top with limited resources will be tested. The second module on day-1 will test the participant's ability to apply the classroom concepts to real life situations.

Day 2: Physical stamina is essential for mental stamina, or is it so? The first half of the day tests candidates in physical activities and we are not saying that these will not be mentally taxing! Second half of the Day-2 promises to be extremely exciting. The activities test the business acumen of the candidates. And here we force you to move away from the pen & drawing board to the actual battlefield. Do business and show us the money!

Day 3: Lets see you prove yourself to the leaders of today. The grand finale of Numero Uno takes place on the third day with the best 6 people vying for the ultimate prize.

Rules of the game are as follows :

• This is an invite only event in which only B-school students can participate. Only the colleges invited will be able to send in their nomination (refer to colleges invited).


• Only 1 participant per college invited will be able to participate. Internal selections to be done by the respective institute / college.


• The resume and SOP submitted by the contestants is the property of IIM Bangalore and can be displayed for public viewing.


• Candidate will take full responsibility for their actions in the Outdoor events (if any). The organizers will not be held responsible for any mishaps in Outdoor events.


• The candidate should send the items mentioned in the submission section along with a covering letter which says that the candidate is the bonafide student of his/her college and the college has nominated him/her to represent the college in Numero Uno. The letter should be sealed and signed by a faculty member or concerned administrative staff


• Numero Uno participant is not allowed to participate in any other event .


• All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity and final judgments will be with organizing committee of VISTA, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.


• The participants will be reimbursed AC III tier, two-way train travel expense. The reimbursement will be for the shortest route between the members' institute and Bangalore. Team members are required to present a copy of their tickets for reimbursements. In case of a flight journey, reimbursements will be made only on producing original boarding passes. Reimbursements will be capped at INR 2000 (to and fro) for distance less than 700 Km (one way distance) and INR 6000 (to and fro) for distance greater than that.

b. SOP indicating why you should be Numero Uno (word document format) - 11 pt Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing, Upper limit: 600 words Filename : Firstname_Secondname_NU_SOP

c. All submissions have to be mailed to: numerouno@iimb.ernet.in by 27th Sep 2008
