Vista is abuzz with activities. There are a few of you slogging it out, wracking your brains, devising strategies, debating, and participating in the events. And a few of you rooting for your colleges and cheering the participants. With so much happening there would be a lot of passion and thoughts going around.
So the question we have for you is
  • Can you predict who is going to be the Numero Uno
  • Can you predict who all the finalists will be in the Papyrus
  • Or can you predict who will take away Altar Vista
So if you think you have the answers to the above questions, log on to . Trade On is the game for all people who are following the latest at Vista and to let loose the crafty trader. This is a virtual stock exchange out here and shares being traded are about what’s happening at Vista. And if you think you know it, we challenge you to put your money (remember it’s all virtual) where your mouth is.

Trade On is a fantasy game based on prediction market and is being created around Vista in partnership with LordsOfOdds (). LordsOfOdds is a fantasy gaming startup.

Logon to and register online. Once you register you are given 100,000 Loots free. Loots is the virtual currency in this medieval world of knights, princes, lords. Check out the predictions around various events. You can buy and sell these predictions using the Loots given to you.Your aim will be to maximize your profits and minimize your losses. A right prediction will get you more points.

For example
  • Step 1 - LordsOfOdds floats predictions on the site with a specific price "IIM B will win Altar Vista” at a price of 30 Loots. LordsOfOdds will give users 100 per unit of the prediction if it comes true and nothing if it does not come true. i.e. LordsOfOdds thinks there is a 30% chance of IIMB winning Altar Vista.
  • Step 2 - Players buy and sell the predictions Players buy the prediction either for or against. e.g. "IIM B will win Altar Vista” is priced at 30. Player Hari thinks that IIM B has a better than 30% chance of winning, so he buys 100 units of the prediction.
  • Step 3 - As people buy and sell, prices move up and down respectively The more a prediction is bought, the more its price goes up. And the more it is sold, the more its price falls. As the outcome of a prediction starts becoming clear, players keep trading to maximise their profits (or minimize their losses). e.g. Say half way through Vista IIM B hasn’t won more contests then the other participating teams. And players have sold the prediction a lot bringing down the price of that prediction to 20. So Player Hari decided to sell off his 50 units at a price of 20 each since he does not feel as confident anymore that the prediction will come true
  • Step 4 - Based on the outcome, the predictions have a final value Once the result of prediction is known, LordsOfOdds credits / debits the accounts of players with the final value of the prediction. It will be worth 100 if the prediction came true and worth 0 if it did not.
e.g. Say towards the end of the Vista , IIM B pulls of a great show and finally wins majority of the contests . Since the prediction  has come true, each unit of it will finally be worth 100. So for 50 units of the prediction Player Hari still holds, he will get 50 x 100 = 5000 Loots. Hence, at the end of this prediction Player Hari is richer by a net amount of 3000. (He bought 100 @ 30 = 3000, Sold 50 @ 20 = 1000, Redeemed 50 @ 100 = 5000)
